Heather Myers was fired from a Kansas Wal-Mart for keeping a bottle of water nearby during her pregnancy.
This is something that really irks me. Neocons in America are all about women being mothers and whatnot, even to the point of aggressively trying to outlaw reproductive choice. You know, protect the fetus. On the other hand, they have no issue with corporate giants refusing to accommodate women who are pregnant.
The accommodations listed in the article aren’t even insane or unreasonable. Accommodating an employee on crutches would be trickier than accommodating a pregnant woman.
